Julia Metzger-Traber is an artist peace worker who facilitates group processes and collaborations.  In both her research and practice, she is exploring holistic approaches to cultural integration in the divided milieu of the “refugee crisis”.  In Berlin she develops and facilitates intercultural, community-based projects using movement, performance and storytelling in partnership with schools, refugee homes, and independent arts organizations.  Residencies have brought her around the world to create performance and video projects.   Julia has also worked in Public Health as a Harm Reduction Specialist, as a legal advocate, and a rape crisis counselor.  While completing her MA thesis in Peace and Conflict Transformation at the University of Innsbruck, she has been providing project coordination and design assistance for international peace studies projects.
