Dr Josefina Echavarría Alvarez
Josefina Echavarría Alvarez is an international projects’ consultant in the areas of peace, development, security and conflict transformation, with emphasis on gender and active citizenship, especially for migrant and young populations. She has experience in curriculum development in peace studies in diverse geographical regions. Josefina is an expert in elicitive conflict mapping and in the design of strategies for intervention for the peaceful transformation of conflicts. She has extensively researched public security policies and has worked on the evaluation, design and implementation of diverse reconciliation and peace building projects in fragile societies. She is an invited guest lecturer to universities in the Americas, Europe and Africa with well known publications in Spanish, English and German. As facilitator, Josefina focuses on congruent communication and holistic approaches to peace and education.
